Like most website operators, Taviq collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each User request. Taviq’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Taviq’s Users use its Site. From time to time, Taviq may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its Site.
Taviq also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. Taviq does not use such information to identify its Users, however, and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
Certain Users to Site choose to interact with Taviq in ways that require Taviq to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Taviq gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask Users who use our forums and/or some other services to provide a username and email address. In each case, Taviq collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the User’s interaction with Taviq. Taviq does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And Users can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site-related activities.
Taviq may collect statistics about the behavior of Users to its Site. For instance, Taviq may reveal how many downloads a particular product version or other Taviq provided material got. However, Taviq does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
